The company that introduced downdraft ventilation to the culinary world is now adding a variety of chimney hoods to its product line.
The new hoods are the latest element of a recent line expansion by Jenn AirŪ. The hoods, along with other new introductions such as wine chillers, warming drawers and ice makers, are designed to give Jenn-Air a complete suite of highly styled built-in products.
The new stainless steel hoods complement the look of all of the new Jenn-Air products, including identical stainless steel finishes. The hoods feature high-performance features such as a powerful 650-cubic-foot-per-minute blower, electronic touch controls and a delay-off feature that will turn the blower off automatically after 15 minutes.
Jenn-Air has long been known for its introduction of downdraft ventilation, said Bill Deter, vice president of Jenn-Air. However, as our line grows to include a wide variety of high-performance conventional cooktops and ranges, the time was right to add high-quality hoods to our line of appliances. With a powerful 650-cubic-foot-per-minute blower and six speed settings, we are providing the sort of ventilation product consumers would expect from the Jenn-Air name.
Features of the new Jenn-Air range hoods include:
* A filter clean indicator that tells users when it is time to clean. Because the aluminum filters are dishwasher safe, cleanup is exceedingly easy.
* Six fan speed options that allow users to tailor the fan speed to the amount of smoke and odors created by the cooking process.
* Halogen lights that illuminate the cooktop.
* Optional ductless installation.
The new chimney hoods will be available in a stainless steel finish in 30-inch and 36-inch sizes. In addition, Jenn-Air will offer a powerpack-only option in 36-inch, 42-inch and 48-inch sizes. This option allows builders to custom build around the blower, so the owner can integrate the exhaust system into the look of the kitchen. The hoods will be available in July. Retail prices for finished hoods are expected to start at approximately $1,299, with the powerpack-only models expected to start at $999.
